16.05.2024: Windhoek

Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, is a city full of fascinating contrasts and rich in history. Our visit took us to two outstanding sights: the Christ Church and the "coffee machine", the parliament building.

The Christ Church is a landmark of the city and an architectural masterpiece. Its striking neo-Gothic façade and high tower are visible from afar and captivate visitors. The interior of the church is equally impressive with its colorful stained glass windows and majestic organ. A visit here is not only an insight into Namibia's religious history, but also a journey through time through the country's colonial past.

The "coffee machine", as the parliament building is called due to its unusual shape, is completely different. The modern, futuristic design contrasts with the surrounding architecture and is a symbol of Namibia's striving for progress and development. A walk around the building allows you to see the impressive architecture from different angles.
